If you want to fast forward your public speaking and writing career, National Speakers Association is the organization to join and get involved in (immediately).

I became a local member of National Speakers Association-Wisconsin in 1984 and a professional member of NSA in 1987 (determined by number of speaking engagements per year and income). As my public speaking career continued to grow, I got involved in volunteer leadership and in 1989 I was elected President of NSA-Wisconsin.

In 1992, after a move to San Diego so that I could expand my speaking business internationally, which truly was only possible through National Speakers Association contacts, I was elected president of NSA-San Diego. Since then I've been involved in many national leadership projects and programming, all of which has led to lifelong friendships, new business, and a community I wouldn't trade for the world.

Joining the National Speakers Association is by far the best thing I ever did for my career. The members are brilliant, generous with their ideas and support, and the conventions and workshops are a great place to learn how to build a speaking business. Call me anytime if you'd like more information.

One of the great things about National Speakers Association besides the education and networking is that you have the opportunity to present programs at local and national meetings.

If you want to learn how to do something (and push through fear barriers), one of the best ways to do that is to commit to doing a program for your peers. If you want to be of service, one of the best ways to do that is to commit to sharing what you've learned with your peers and newcomers to your professional organization. I am so grateful to be able to do both.

Below are programs with available worksheets I've presented at National Speakers Association meetings.
